Bill and I went out to our new home site to find the beginnings of the foundation. It looks smaller than we thought it would be, but I guess that's typical. The bottom picture is an aerial shot (from our neighbor's second story). Overall, it's shaping up to be a nice community with parks and waaaayyy too much water (did I mention that we're about to break our 100 days of 100 degrees--ugh). You see, Phoenix aspires to be California, thus the lakes...
Meanwhile, just around the corner from our small patch of sunshine is the builder's home/compound of 15,000SF. We tried to go in and take a peek several times as it was being built, but the lot was chain linked and Bill didn't want to scale the fence. See what I mean about the lakes.
